Title: Alone Down the Aisle
Jane Nichols is a wedding obsessed, idealistic, romantic workaholic. If she isn’t reading the Bride supplement in the newspaper; she is working for her boss (who she is completely in love with) or helping other people down that aisle- just 27 times! But when her sister suddenly lands on her doorstep ad takes her boss, with her sculptured to perfection looks and appealing personality; Jane starts to realise that maybe her life isn’t all that she thinks it is and becoming that perfect bride isn’t on the horizon anytime soon.
Every part of this film made me feel a part of something wonderful. It has me crying and laughing at everything from her hectic lifestyle to her wardrobe of hideous dresses. Right from the start I fell instantly in love with the film, the characters and even her sister Tess (who is trouble from the minute she is on the screen). They made the film seem so real and gave that quality of real life that every good film has.
But, of course, the perfect film would not be complete without the chick flick romance and the lovable guy. As soon as they met, everyone knew the outcome; but there was something about this mismatched secretary and wedding article writer that kept the viewer’s eyes glued to the screen all the way through. And especially at the end, everyone went out the door wanting to own their very own Filofax and particularly those 27 dresses.
