The crazily anticipated monster film has finally surfaced and with it brining a whole different take on cinematography. It's basically another monster attacks a state in America sci-fi film that leaves us feeling as if though we are actually going to be attacked when we step out of the cinema.

The film had its good moments and also it had its bad moments but I think I'll explain them as we go on. Basically the storyline isn't all that original seeing as hundreds of films revolve around poor Americans being attacked by a monster or monsters. We are like, of two of the characters, or course this start scene is all extremely wobbly and it's almost as if the cameraman is filming while drunk, however the camera is later passed on to a more sober person who enjoys tilting the camera every few seconds. Soon the city is attacked and all hell breaks loose. The action scenes were particularly amazing and really gave me a rush just watching it, the Visual Effects were the best photo realistic CGI I have seen in a long time. Overall I think this is a marvel of a film, which really makes you feel part of the film, there aren't many bad points apart from some dodgy camerawork occasionally. I also think it is fantastically directed by Matt Reeves definitely a must see and is worthy of 5 stars.
